Agapito Valencia

Agapito Valencia, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at his home in Bernalillo, Nm at the age of 87.  He was a lifelong resident of Bernalillo, NM.  Agapito served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Petronillio and Maria Valencia; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Ernie Aragon; grandsons, Josiah Robertson and Christopher Lovato; and great-granddaughters, Desire Torrez, Eleana Medrano.

Agapito is survived by his loving children, Arlene Sisneros and husband Justin, Patricia Moncada and husband Tony, Gloria Tapia and husband Fernandez, Becky Valencia, Agapito Valencia Jr. and wife Bernice, and Delfinia Valencia; 17 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.   Also surviving are his siblings, Ubaldo Valencia and wife Mary Lou, Elosia, Maria Luisa, Daniel Valencia, and Molly Valencia; and other numerous loving relatives and friends.  Agapito will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.

A Rosary will be recited Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 301 Camino Del Pueblo, in Bernalillo, NM, where the Mass of Christian will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.   Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m.
