Arthur Jerry Andrade, born on November 5, 1931, in Raton, New Mexico, passed away peacefully in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on January 25, 2025. He was a cherished member of his community and a dedicated family man who fostered deep relationships with his loved ones.
For over 25 years, Arthur built a successful career at Caterpillar Corporation, where his work ethic and commitment were commendable. His career was a reflection of his personality—always striving for excellence, yet remaining steadfastly grounded in his values. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, where he earned the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, and the United Nations Service Medal, highlighting his bravery and dedication to his country.
Arthur had a vibrant spirit that drew people toward him. He loved to spend time with his family and friends, creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts. His hobbies included attending horse races and visiting the casino, activities that brought him joy and excitement. Arthur's zest for life and ability to find happiness in both simple and thrilling moments endeared him to those around him.
He is survived by his sister Rosalie Munoz, brother Daniel Andrade, sister-in-law Donna, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom will remember him fondly for the warmth and love he brought into their lives. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marie Andrade, father Esiquiel Joe Andrade, mother Lucille Rose Andrade, brother Samuel Andrade, and sister Alice Armijo.
Arthur leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion, and his memory will be honored by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
