Sonny Loftis

In loving memory of Arthur “Sonny” Loftis, age 85 was born August 23, 1937 in Forreston, TX. He passed on June 16, 2023 in Albuquerque, NM.

He is survived by his three children:

Donna Rosenberg & Marc    

Penny Tidwell & Vince  

Stephen Loftis & Paula

Also survived by his four grandchildren:

Dewel Loftis & Kaitlin  

Kayla Stayer  

Austin Tidwell & Kerry  

Eric Tidwell & Kalli

And leaves behind four great grandchildren:

Greyson Slatten  

Scarlett & Savannah Loftis  

James Tidwell

Sonny enlisted in the US Navy from 1956 to 1960 serving as a dental technician stationed in Japan.

He was successful in the construction industry building homes and apartments in the DFW area.

He had a lifelong enjoyment of racing and breeding  American Quarter Horses — racing in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.

Sonny was a very proud Texan who loved his family and his many friends.
