Barbara Monica Cervantes, age 93, beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt, and great-great-aunt, was embraced by the Lord Jesus, Wednesday, February 3, 2021. She was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM, where she was a member of St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church. Barbara retired from Kirtland Air Force Base Accounting Division with 36 years of service. She loved spending time with her family. Barbara will be fondly remembered as always being there to brighten the lives of others and who inspired others with her loving and caring way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Adela Cervantes, brothers, Ignacio, Frank, Agustin, Phil Cervantes and sister, Lucy Cervantes. Barbara is survived by her loving nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends. Barbara will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched.
A walk-through viewing will be Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Daniels Family – Alameda Chapel and a visitation on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 8:30-9:00 am followed by a funeral mass at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Richard Cervantes, Ruben Cervantes, William Cervantes, David Cervantes, Gerald Cervantes, Christopher Cuellar, Bret Cervantes Madrid, and Cameron Cervantes. Honorary Bearers will be Ignacio Jude Cervantes, Michael Cervantes, Mark Ruben Cervantes, Carlos Conroy, Ryan Cuellar, Elijah Mora, Jeremiah Cervantes and Oktavian Conroy.
