Barbara Padilla

Barbara Y. Padilla, age 55,  beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, was embraced by the Lord and taken to Eternal Life, Monday, September 21, 2015.   She was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM.  Barbara graduated from Valley High School in 1978; and was employed by IEC Technologies for 15 years.  Her strength and faith led her to live her life blessed with the Lord's grace one day at a time.  Barbara enjoyed hanging out with her Auntie Betty and taking care of her dog Patches; and she especially loved having sleep-overs with her granddaughter Marcella.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Justine Serna; brothers, Paul and Phillip Serna.  Barbara is survived by her loving daughter, Nicole M. Padilla and Fred Belone of Albuquerque, NM; her precious granddaughter, Marcella Gutierrez; her brothers, Gerald Serna and wife Genevieve, Richard "Dickie" Aragon and wife Mona; her four legged companion, Patches; and many other loving relatives and friends.  Barbara will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose hearts she touched.

A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth St., NW, Albuquerque, where the Service of Christian Burial will follow at 9:00 a.m.  Inurnment will take place at a later date.
