Bruce G. Muhr, 80, born in St. Peter, Minnesota, on August 27, 1943, transitioned to his next plane on August 16, 2024.
He was born to Dr. Gilbert R. Murh and Theola C. Muhr. He moved with them when he was young, growing up in the Dominican Republic and Southern India. Later he moved to Greeley, Colorado, where he attended High School. He taught school in Cambodia and also taught in Viet Nam where he saw results of the war. Bruce moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to attend UNM where he studied economics and graduated with Honors in 1966. He continued to study economics as a Graduate Assistant and also studied for the rest of his life. He remained in Albuquerque, buying a home where he and his love lived for forty years.
He will be missed by his family and Mary M. Schneider with whom he shared his life and his home for 43 years.
Bruce attended AA meetings for 47 years, having success for 45 of them. He was a man of fine character who did not need to steal to make a living. Although he disliked governments, he loved cats, boating, and gardening. He passed with acceptance in his heart, enlightened by Buddha.
