Candelaria Maldonado

Candelaria Garcia Maldonado, age 96, beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019. She was born in Cuidad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico and was a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel Guadalupe Garcia and Maria Blasa Vasquez; her sister, Alicia G. Perez; brother, Gabriel Gilberto Garcia; and great-grandson, Anthony Lucas Duran.

Candelaria is survived by her sister, Beatrice E. Guzman; brother, Geronimo Garcia; her children, Argelia M. (Augustine) Quintana, Ricardo (Irene) Maldonado, Edith Maldonado, Juanita B. Maldonado, and Alicia M. (Eric) Baca; nine grandchildren, Yolanda, Victor, Sylvia, David, JD, Javier, Erica, Cassandra, Ricardo Jr.; and 13 great-grandchildren.  Candelaria will be greatly missed by her loving family and all the friends and lives she touched.

A Rosary will be recited Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St., NW, in Albuquerque.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic church, 5712 Paradise Blvd., NW, in Albuquerque.  Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens. Casket Bearers will be Victor Quintana, David Quintana, Jacob Quintana, Scott McGowan, JD Maldonado and Javier Baca.  Honorary Bearers will be Augustine C. Quintana and Eric C. Baca.
