Clara Ramirez was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, co-worker, and friend. She left this world suddenly on November 17th, 2021 at age 72.
She was born to Herman and Georgia Salazar on August 21st, 1949 and was one of 14 children. She grew up in Youngsville, New Mexico and graduated from Coronado High School. She was working at the hospital in Espanola, NM when she met the love her life, Ruben Ramirez. They were married in 1973 and together, they had 2 sons: Lee and Tim.
Clara loved spending time in the kitchen cooking for those around her, crocheting blankets for various loved ones, and spending time with her beloved family. She was known for being a witty, compassionate, thoughtful woman with a contagious laugh that could brighten any room. You could always count on her to call you on your birthday, pray a novena for you when you were in need, or cook you beans and chile when you came to visit. Everyone was a friend to Clara whether they knew it or not and she will be greatly missed.
Clara is survived by her husband of 48 years Ruben, her loving sons; Lee and wife Melissa, Tim and wife Samantha. Clara was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She is also survived by many of her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers: Branden Ramirez, John Tellez, Robert Salazar, Herman Salazar, Anthony Sandoval, and Donald Salazar. Honorary Pallbearers: Eric Ramirez and Kevin Ramirez.
Services will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church in Cuba, NM. The rosary will at 6:00 PM on Thursday, December 2, 2021. The funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 3, 2021 with burial to follow. Reception to follow at the Guadalupe Hall.
