Cristela "Mama" "Gram" "Grammy" passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, surrounded by her Loved ones. She was born June 29, 1931, in San Marcial, NM to Ricardo and Teresa Madrid. She met the love of her life Charlie and got married in 1954 and had six beautiful children. She was married for 58 years.

Cristela was preceded in death by Parents, Ricardo, Teresa Madrid, Spouse Charlie Martinez, Children, Mario, Chris, Cynthia, Son in law Pete, Grandsons Christopher and Robert A Jaramillo, Siblings, Jose, Manual, Sadie, Amadito, Barbra, Eddie, and Bonie.

Survived by her large loving family. Daughter Joanne Decker. Grandchildren Cristela & Scott, Johnny Ray & Diane, Malisa, Great Grandchildren, Robert & Valerie, Cristela & Tyler,  Jalen & Kylie, Johnny Ray, Natalia, Meredith, Andrea & Donnie, Ariel, Ally, Michael, Monique, Angelique. Great, Great Grandchildren, Ivy, Soren, Johnny Ray, Amarani, David, Renezme, Socorro, Xylia.

Son in law Johnny Barela.

Son Michael Martinez wife Rebecca, Grandchildren Tommy, Gabriel,  Michael Adrain and four Great, Great Grandchildren.

Daughter Sandra Greigo husband Freddie, Grandchildren, Lorraine/Chris, Alfred/Amy, Charlie, Anna. Great Grandchildren, Chris, Taylor, Alysa, Josiah, Jessa. Great, Great Grandchild Teddy.

Cristela made a lasting impression on everyone she met. She held a special place in her heart for everyone. She liked to have fun singing and dancing to her NM Spanish Music, fishing, camping, sewing, playing games, yardwork, casino, and attending her great grandchildren's sporting events. She taught her family so much; she was our queen and the families role model. She was always there for all her children, and she would do anything for them. She made the best empanadas! She always took pride in how she looked, she was very beautiful and youthful.

Cristela will truly be missed by all her family and friends. Heaven has definitely gained an angel. Till we meet again! We Love you!
