Daniel Martinez

Daniel Aron Martinez, 77, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, nephew,cousin, and friend, passed away on June 30th, 2022 with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Farley, NM on August 27th, 1944. He later moved to Raton, NM with his family where he attended school. After graduation, he joined the Air Force and later moved to Albuquerque, NM. He married his wife Barbara of 47 years on August 3rd, 1974 and together they had 3 daughters.

Daniel loved the simple things in life like getting together with family, dancing, listing to spanish music, and gardening in his back yard. Every chance he got, he would sit outside in his back yard he worked so hard on, soak up the sun, and enjoy nature with a beer in his hand and listen to his music. He was a Handyman/Painter for many years and was trusted by all the clients he took care of.

Daniel was the 3rd child born to Aron and Mary Martinez. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother Eloy Martinez, his younger sisters Bertha Gallegos, and Erminda Walters.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife Barbara Martinez of Raton, NM, their 3 daughters; Patrocinia Martinez, Belinda Martinez (Jimmy Dahl) , and Danielle Martinez, 5 grandchildren; Adrian, Letticia, Lorena, Serenity, Isabella. 2 great grandsons; Santiago and Eloy. and his 2 sisters; Prescilla Roybal and Ester Baca ( Sal Baca).

We will always love you and miss your corny jokes and wonderful conversations. One day we will all dance with you in heaven. Your memories will live on in our hearts.
