Daniel Padilla

Age 87, beloved and devoted father and grandfather, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 1, 2015.  He was born in Leyba, NM on July 3, 1928, to the late Eliseo and Rosita Padilla.  Dan was a Veteran of the United States Army, who served his country during the Korean War, and was a self Employed masonry contractor for many years prior to retiring.  Dan was the youngest of ten children.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Padilla; son, Donald Padilla; his brothers, Diego, Benito, Eliseo Padilla; his sisters, Virginia Martinez, Julia Bustamante, Albenita Gonzales, Odelia Trujillo, Flora Sena and Agnes Apodaca.  Dan is survived by his loving daughter, Donna Padilla; his children, Rebecca, Danny, and Diana his precious grandchildren, Skyler "Stephen" Apodaca, Danielle Garcia and husband Jacob; two brothers-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  Dan will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St., NW, where a Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd., SW.  Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Casket Bearers will be Skyler "Stephen" Apodaca, Jacob Garcia, Danny Montoya, Frank Little, Chris Little, and Bobby Sena.
