Danny Heimerich

Danny "Dan" Heimerich, born on June 23, 1963, passed away on November 11, 2016 at the age of 53. Dan joined the United States Air Force in 1981 and retired after 24 years of service. Dan was proud of his work as a Military Training Instructor and received his Blue Rope, an honor only bestowed on 10% of the Military Training Instructors.
Dan loved and honored each and every moment spent with family and friends. He deeply cherished his family and friends, and had a special place in his heart for each and every one.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Lynn Heimerich and Glenda Ruth Hamlett Gonzales; and father-in-law, Frank Casias.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Angela (Casias) Heimerich; stepson, Scott Lewis, III and wife Shawna; stepdaughter, Nicole Lewis; grandchildren, Josiah, Marcello, and Myah; stepfather, Joe Gonzales; in-laws, Rudy Maestas and Deluvina Casias-Maestas; brother, Mike Heimerich and wife Vicky; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Dan will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.
Dan will be laid to rest Friday, November 25, 2016 at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by KAFB Honor Guard.
