Donnie Gallegos

Donnie  Gallegos, age 78, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, was embraced by the Lord and taken to Eternal Life, Tuesday, September 13, 2016.  She was born in Las Vegas, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque, where she was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Donnie enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing, cooking, and bowling.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Tillie Montano.

Donnie is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Joe A. Gallegos; her sons, Martin Gallegos and wife Barbara, Dennis Gallegos and wife Rhonda; her precious grandchildren, Joseph, Anneledi, Nathan, and Clarrisa; great-grandchildren Ellie and Stella; her siblings, Linda Chavez, Christine Gonzales, Manuel Montano, and Joseph Montano; and many other relatives and friends.  Donnie will be greatly missed by her loving family and those whose lives she touched.

A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd., NW, in Albuquerque, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.  Inurnment will be at Fairview Cemetery.  Urn Bearers will be Joe Gallegos, Anneledi Mares, Nathan Gallegos, and Clarrisa Gallegos.

Special thanks to her niece, June Tafoya and husband Isaac, Virginia Gallegos and Pace-Innovage Adult Care Center for the special care they provided throughout the years.

At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
