Elizabeth "Betty" Rubio

Elizabeth “Betty” A. Rubio passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on July 31st, 2021. She was born on August 22, 1941 in Grants, NM to Felix and Nellie Torrez. She is survived by her daughter Charlotte Gallegos & husband Gilbert. Her grandchildren, Andrew Gallegos, Victoria Sanchez & husband Jude, and Celena Gallegos, and 2 great grandchildren, Joziah, and Emmett Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister and two brothers. Betty loved cooking and caring for her family. She was a lovable person and taught her family to be forgiving and not stay mad at one another. She was supportive and displayed pride in her family’s accomplishments. She loved to listen to New Mexico music, watch her gameshows and share stories from her past. Her bubbly, silly personality provided laughs and kept the atmosphere light-hearted wherever she went.
