Erinea Gutierrez

Erinea "Neita" Gutierrez was born on May 20, 1923 in Corrales, NM and passed away peacefully at home Friday, January 26, 2018 with her loving family at her side.  Having lived most of her life in Alameda, Neita was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Neita was married to Loyola Gutierrez on February 14, 1946 (Valentine's Day) and would have celebrated 72 years of marriage this year.

She was preceded in death by parents, Miguel and Cleofas Griego of Corrales, NM; and six siblings. Neita is survived by her loving husband, Loyola Gutierrez; seven children, Ron (Rose), Tom (Viola), Richard (Pauline), Carmen (John), Joseph (Marie), Mary Ellen (Ken), and James (Natlie); 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are her brother, Mike Griego (Crissie); her close cousin, Vijes Saiz (Vicky); and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Neita will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched.

Visitations will be Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St., NW.  Mass will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 Fourth St., NW.  Interment will take place on Thursday at 11:15 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Tom Gutierrez Jr., Ricky Gutierrez Jr., Ronny Gutierrez Jr., Neil Girardin, Brandon Rael, Paul Sanchez, and James Ryan Gutierrez.
