Gary Allen Jaramillo, a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and, passed away in Albuquerque on August 7, 2024, at the age of 54. Born on November 8, 1969, in Albuquerque, he dedicated 28 years of his life to the United Postal Service, serving his community with unparalleled commitment and dedication.
Gary was a proud graduate of Socorro High School in El Paso, Texas, class of 1987. His education laid the foundation for a life filled with hard work and passion, which he exemplified in every aspect of his life. Outside of his career, Gary was known for his vibrant spirit and adventurous nature. He cherished the great outdoors, engaging in hunting and fishing with fervor. Basketball and golfing brought him joy, as did the camaraderie of fantasy football. He enjoyed attending the local home team games of the Isotopes baseball team, along with UNM BASKETBALL at THE PIT. An ardent supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, he often spoke fondly of the his beloved pug "Dallas," a reflection of his unwavering fandom.
Music was another passion of Gary's; he found happiness in playing the electric guitar and delighted in singing country music. Friends and family often enjoyed impromptu performances, where his love for music filled the air with warmth and laughter. In quiet moments, he was challenged by a game of chess, showcasing his strategic mind and love for friendly competition.
Gary leaves behind a loving family who will miss him dearly. He is survived by his devoted wife, Desiree Jaramillo of 12 years after meeting for the first time in 2006 they have been inseparable and married on July 13, 2012, and his cherished daughters, Brittni and Nicole Jaramillo. He was a proud grandfather to his grandsons, Kolton Allen and baby Aries Abran James Jaramillo, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. Gary's parents, Clovis Jaramillo and Angela Phillips, alongside his stepfather, Robert Phillips, and brothers Max, David, and Joseph Jaramillo, will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
Though Gary faced the deep sorrow of losing his son, Abran James Jaramillo, his legacy lives on through the love and fond memories shared with his family. His warmth, sense of humor, and indomitable spirit touched the lives of many, creating bonds that will never be forgotten.
As we remember Gary Allen Jaramillo, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his spirit soar free, and may his family find comfort in the cherished memories that will forever remain in their hearts.
