George Juarros

George Juarros, age 67, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019. George was born in Springer, NM on December 1, 1951, to Juan and Flora Juarros.  George graduated in 1970 from Robertson High School in Las Vegas, NM.  He then attended Luna Vocational Technical Institute.  On April 17, 1971 he married his love of his life Marthe Griego to whom he was married to for 48 wonderful years.

George supported the family owned businesses of a service station, liquor store, and beauty shop in Las Vegas, NM, along with his parents before joining the local police department as a patrolman in 1978.  He left the police department in September of 1983 achieving rank of detective.  He moved his family to Colorado Springs, CO in 1983 where he worked for an Insurance Company until moving to Albuquerque in 1999, where he continued to work in the insurance industry until retiring in 2014.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Flora Juarros; beloved sister-in-law, Judy Juarros; and nephew, James Juarros.

George is survived by wife, Marthe Juarros; son, George M. Juarros; daughter, Genevieve Genine Ibarra and husband Guadalupe; and five grandchildren, Apollonia, Juaquin, and Esteban Ibarra, Jesse and Cody Juarros.  Also surviving is his father, Juan Juarros; brothers, John Juarros, III, Ralph Juarros and wife Janet; brother-in-law who was like a son , Frank Griego; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  George will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.

Memorial Services will be conducted Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services ~ Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St. NW, Albuquerque, NM.
