Geraldine "Geri" Lee passed away peacefully on November 11, 2021 surrounded by family and friends. She leaves behind her loving son David Paul Sanchez, her sisters Arlene Santillanes, Lydia Gonzales, and little brother Andrew Tafoya and wife Kathryn, step sister Rosalie and husband Danny Sandoval and family, Priscilla Howard and family, step brothers Larry and wife Viola Tafoya and family, and many more loved nieces, nephews and cousins. Geri was preceded by her husband Charley Lee, father and mother Alberto and Alice Montoya, step father Nick Tafoya, and sister Lorraine Herrera, step brothers Herman, Leonard and Bishop Arthur Tafoya. Geri graduated in 1959 from Our Lady of Sorrows in Bernalillo. She coached the North Valley Girls' softball team and was very active with the North Valley Optimist Club organizing the Albuquerque Toy Run and food distribution for many years. Geri worked at SIC Finance, Ford Motor Credit and retired a Farmers Insurance Agent. After retirement she worked for the Scottfamlly running the Wonder Bread Hostess Thrift Shop (her favorite job). She later joined the senior center, was a volunteer bingo caller and made a new group of special friends. She loved the outdoors, to travel, eat out, and playing at the casinos. She was most happy with family and friends.
