Gilbert Gutierrez

Gilbert J. Gutierrez, age 67, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother was embraced by the Lord Thursday, January 11, 2018 and taken to his heavenly home.  He was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM, where he graduated from Valley High School in 1968; and retired from Rio Grande Steel Co.  Gilbert enjoyed listening to music and reading his Bible.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lauro and Crucita Gutierrez; and his son, Randy Gutierrez.

Gilbert is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Sally S. Gutierrez; his son, Matthew Gutierrez and wife Joy; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Edna Sanchez; his siblings, Nasario Gutierrez, Jennie Romero (Joe), Lucille Lucero (Roger), Diana Gutierrez, Susie Martinez, Joann Lopez (Ray), and Carmen Chavez (Ernie); numerous nieces; nephews; other loving relatives and friends.

Gilbert will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lived he touched.

Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna Rd., NE.  Inurnment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
