Guadalupe (Lupe) Mowery

Guadalupe (Lupe) Mowery, a beloved Administrative Assistant for Albuquerque Transit for 29 years, passed away on December 2, 2023, in Albuquerque, NM. Born on November 26, 1949, in Punta da Agua NM, Lupe lived a life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to her family and friends.

Lupe was known for her unwavering support and maternal love towards all her loved ones. Her warm heart and kind nature touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She had a special ability to make people feel valued and cared for with her genuine interest in their well-being.

In addition to her successful career as an Administrative Assistant, Lupe found great joy in watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She took immense pride in their accomplishments and always cheered them on from the sidelines with boundless enthusiasm.

Lupe's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her children and grandchildren. She cherished each moment spent with them and was an endless source of love and guidance throughout their lives. Her legacy of unconditional love will continue to inspire them for generations to come.

Lupe is preceded in death by her father Felipe Vallejos, mother Ruby Vallejos, and brother Vincent Vallejos. She is survived by her loving husband Gene Mowery, daughter Yvette, son Gino and his wife Lisette, son Vince and his wife Jessica. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jude, Daniel, Jonah, Tony, Briana, Sienna, Kian, Olivia, Isaiah, and Samantha. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins who will deeply miss her presence.

To honor Lupe's memory and pay tribute to a life well-lived, a series of events have been planned. The viewing will take place at Alameda Mortuary in NW Albuquerque on December 26th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A Rosary will follow from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the same location.

A Mass celebrating Lupe's life will be held on December 27th at St Therese of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Albuquerque. The Mass will begin at 9:00 am, with family and friends joining together to remember and honor her remarkable journey.

Lupe Mowery will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her spirit and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of those she loved. May she rest in eternal peace.
