Henry Marquez

Henry Marquez, age 90, beloved and devoted father and grandfather, was embraced by our Lord Jesus and taken to his heavenly home, Monday, May 7, 2018.   He was born in Torreon, NM on August 12, 1927, and was a resident of Albuquerque.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claudio and Juanita Marquez - Padilla; his wife, Teresita Marquez; sister, Vivianita Marquez; and brother, Juan F. Padilla.  Henry is survived by his loving children, Eva Brown and husband Eddie, Lupe Mitchell and husband James, Mary Gonzales and husband Ray, Diane Garduno and husband Manuel, Claude Marquez, and Debra Marquez; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.  Henry will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.

A Rosary will be recited Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth St. NW, Albuquerque, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  Casket Bearers will be Jeanette Gorman, Maggie Lucero, Barbara Baca, Margaret Jaramillo, Yvonne Marquez, and Matthew Garduno.  Honorary Bearers will be Jason Brown, Anthony Brown, and Jesse Gonzales
