Isabel Apodaca

Isabel  Apodaca, age 95, beloved mother and aunt, passed away peacefully, Thursday, October 20, 2016, while surrounded by her loving family.  She was a lifelong resident of Algodones, NM; where she was a member of San Jose Parish.  Isabel enjoyed cooking for her family and was an excellent pie maker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Julia Apodaca.

Isabel is survived by her loving daughter, Lavonia Sanchez and husband Dan; her sister, Leonila Gurule; nieces, Julia Gonzalez and husband Mario, Lorella Lovato and husband Marvin, Veronica Acosta and husband Ray, Tonie Mendez and husband Tony, Evelyn Sanchez and husband Randy, Clara Duran and husband Tony, Viola Jackson and husband Chad, Brisa Apodaca and Deidra; and nephew, Robert Gurule.  Also surviving are many great and great-grand nieces and nephews.  Isabel will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Church in Algodones, NM, where a Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m., and followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be at the Algodones Community Cemetery.  Casket Bearers will be Steven Acosta, Florentino Vasquez, Mario Gonzalez, John Brown, Santiago Cordova, and Joseph Lyle.  Honorary Bearers will be Raymond Acosta, Dan Sanchez,  and Chad Lovato.
