Our beloved angel Jacob was called home to be with our Lord after a long, fruitful and prosperous life on this Earth. Jacob was perhaps most notably known in his community for being a member of the Las Huertas Land Grant, operating and eventually owning the Standard Oil Company/Chevron fuel distribution plant in Bernalillo until its closure as well as serving his community during his employment at the Placitas Senior Center which he eventually retired from. He had a lifelong appreciation and passion for baseball and basketball, especially the Dodgers and UNM Lobos. He was an incredibly loving man to anyone and everyone; be that family, friends or anyone that crossed his path. While he came off as reserved and private, his sense of humor came to light at every available opportunity just as much as his love for those around him. That love was pure and had no reservations but was especially present when he was around his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jacob is preceded in death by his wife (Lizzie Archibeque), parents (Pantaleon and Andreitta),brothers (Emiterio and Antonia, Maurice and Joe) and sister-in-law (Julia). He is survived by his brothers (Clemente, Jerry and Lena Archibeque), sister-in-laws (Helen Archibeque, Florence Archibeque), sons (Jake and Rosie Archibeque, Raymond Archibeque and Stacie), grandchildren (Andrea and Abram Torrez, Kimberly, Kenny, Yolanda and Alex, Marcos, Isaac and Kirsten, Isabella and future great granddaughter) and great grandchildren (Abram Jr., Duke and Roman) and special niece Kathy Nieto. Jacob’s family would also like to extend their gratitude to the US Veterans Affairs Department and Roadrunner Hospice for providing him with care and resources in his last days.
