James Pitts Jr.

James J. Pitts, age 80, beloved and devoted father, grandfather, and companion, passed away peacefully, Friday, July 10, 2015, while surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Algodones, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque.

James is survived by his loving companion of 42 years, Hazel Chavez; his children, Renee and husband Brent, David, Darlene (Cruz), Becky (Ken), Victoria (Jeff); his precious grandchildren, Ashley, Jodene, Matthew, Joshua, April, Nicole, Brittney, Angelique, Taylor, Kendra, Jeff, and Matt; great-grandchildren, Athena, Izabella, Jocelynn, Angelina, Max, Victoria, Jacob, Jordene, AJ, Ella, and Andrea.  James will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched.

A Rosary will be recited Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth St., NW, where the Service of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 a.m.  A Reception to follow.  Interment will take place at 12:30 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Casket Bearers will be Josh Castillano, Matt Pohl, Taylor Castillano, Jorome Pitts, David Chavez, and Angelique Gonzales.
