Jana Bartschi

Jana Lee Bartschi, age 69, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020.  She was born in Montpelier, ID and was a resident of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, NM.

Jana's life inspired and touched many people. Her spirit will continue to encourage, love, and create, through the number of people she helped as a wife, nurse, aunt, sister, mother, and grandmother. She graduated from Holy Cross Nursing School as a Registered Nurse and served as a nurse for over 34 years. Jana's warm heart, sincere care, and childlike happiness will remain evergreen in our lives just as the many things she planted and nurtured upon the earth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Helen Bartschi. Jana is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, James P. Carrell; her children, Tim Carrell (Heather Malcom), Jeddah Carrell (Brian Cunningham), David Carrell (Tracey Prinz),  Katie Carrell (Austin Rowland) , Charles "Erni" Carrell (Mariah Martinez); and five precious grandchildren, Ruby, Giner, Makayla, Tyler and Wesley.  Also surviving are her siblings, Carlin Bartschi and wife Joyce, Phil Bartschi and wife Diane, Duane Bartschi and wife Alice; and other loving relatives and friends.  Jana will be greatly missed by her family and by those whose lives she touched.

Her family has decided to postpone an event celebrating Jana's life until it is once again safe to travel, and gather together as family and friends.

In the meantime they encourage you to plant, sew, and laugh, with those you hold close!
