Jesse Lopez

Jesse L. Lopez, age 67, beloved father, grandfather, and brother,  passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019.  He was born on october 25, 1952 in Santa Fe, NM and was a resident of Rio Rancho, NM. He attended Mora High School and the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.  He served in the United States Army and then a fire-fighter for the City of Albuquerque Fire Department for over 20 years.  He was a paramedic and arson investigator and received his Police Officer Certification in 1993.

In his spare time, Jesse enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, gambling and spending time with his family and friends.  He loved his sweets.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Agapita Lopez; his wife and true love Yolanda Lopez; siblings Julian Lopez, Phillip Lopez, Raymond Lopez and Richard Lopez.

Jesse is survived by his loving children Rosanna (Lopez) Allen and husband Chris, and Christopher Lopez and wife Denise Lopez-Alarid; his grandchildren Marlena Allen, Logan Allen, Anthony Herbst, Carla Lopez, and Christopher Lopez, Jr. Also surviving are his brothers, Jerry Lopez and Sylvia Lauer, and Larry Lopez;

A Rosary will be recited Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 4th St., NW, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho.
