Joann Trujillo

“Joann Trujillo went to be with our Lord on December 24, 2024, at the age of 71. Born in the Alameda neighborhood of Albuquerque on September 17, 1953, she lived a life full of love, devotion, and family.

She was the beloved wife of Augustine “Tino” Trujillo and the proud mother of her son, David, with whom she shared a beautiful and special bond. She adored her four grandchildren Ciarah, Karyssa, Jude and Josslyn, and her daughter-in-law, Jade. 

She is preceded in death by her father Jacobo Martinez, mother Felicita Martinez, siblings- Benny, Elizardo, Juan, Maria, Carlos, and Gilbert.

Family and friendship meant everything to Joann. She loved, and was loved by her 9 siblings, many nieces and nephews, and she developed life-long friendships with countless individuals. She was a loving homemaker who poured her heart into everyone she met. Her loved ones fondly describe her outgoing personality, saying, ‘Joann never met a stranger—she knew and loved everyone she encountered.’

Her love and care touched everyone around her. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family will never be forgotten.

Though she is no longer with us, her love and light will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.”
