Joe Garcia

Joe Blas Garcia, age 84, beloved and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 4, 2016.   He was born in Tapiacitas, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque.  Joe retired for the Albuquerque Public School system after 35+ years of service.

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Celestina "Tina" Garcia; his children, Jerry, Mary and Elizabeth Garcia; his precious grandchildren, Angelica, Tinamarie, Anthony, Therese, Loriann, Johnny, Aaliyah, Nevaeh and Elias; great grandchildren, Isabel, and Andreya is on her way and expected in October.  Joe will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St., NW, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Final Viewing will be on Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. also in Chapel of Alameda Mortuary.  Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth St., NW.  Interment will follow at San Carlos Cemetery.   Casket Bearers will be Anthony Baca, Patrick Montano, Adrian Vizcaino, Johnny Lopez, Tony Pacheco, Gene Garcia, Steve Garcia, and Jorge Davila.  Honorary Bearers will be Levi Maes, Jennifer Lucero, Joseph Valdez, and Speedy Gonzales.
