January 30, 1921 — February 25, 2015
Joe P. Lara, age 94, beloved and devoted father and grandfather, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 25, 2015. He was born in Canutillo, TX and was a resident of Bernalillo, NM.
He was preceded in death by his wife Effie Lara; sons, Bobby Lee, Joe “Butch” and Ricky Lara. Joe is survived by his loving children, Kathleen King and husband Steve, Timmy Lara and wife Teri, Lisa A. Lara-Salic, and Laura L. Lara; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and other numerous loving relatives and friends. Joe will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched.
A Memorial Service will be conducted Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services – Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth Street NW. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Ft. Bliss, TX.
