John Knapp

John J. Knapp passed away March 7, 2021 at home. He was born in New York, raised in Northern New Jersey married the love of his life and they moved to Albuquerque in 1995. John was a devoted full-time dad and loved every minute of it. He was a passionate birder, who could identify a bird in a New York minute!

He was preceded in death by his brother Richie, sister Kathy Kaman. He leaves behind his wife, Nancy (Wiemert), their son John Martin, mother Gloria (Martin) Knapp, and sisters Barbara Monahan, Debbie (Knapp) Paparelli and husband John; brothers Brian Hickey and wife Vanessa; Michael, and several nephews and nieces.

John will be cremated and a Memorial Celebration will be held in Albuquerque in the near future.  His remains will be brought to New Jersey for a small family gathering held following burial at St. Nick’s Cemetery in Lodi, NJ.
