Johnny Montoya Jr.

Johnny Montoya, Jr., age 79, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, was embraced by the Lord and taken to Eternal Rest on Tuesday, April 4, 2017.   He was born in Santa Rosa, NM on September 30, 1937 and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM.  Johnny's pride and joy were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He enjoyed taking road trips and spending time with his family.  Johnny was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Agneda Montoya; his wife Lucille Montoya; and great-grandchild, Angel Montoya.

Johnny is survived by his loving son, Rick Sedillo; his grandchildren, Rick Sedillo, Jr., Mark Sedillo and wife Tammy, Marie Montoya and husband Aaron, Jacob Sedillo, and Brielle Sedillo; great-grandchildren, Erika Garcia, Amber Garcia, Erin Montoya, Briana Montoya, Adriana Montoya, and Daniel Sedillo.  Also surviving are his siblings, Evelyn Chavez and husband Ernesto of Santa Rosa, NM, Margie Romero and husband Raymond of Clovis, NM, Lencho Montoya, Victor Montoya, Sr., and wife Ruby of Clovis, NM, Marianne Sena and husband Leonard of Los Lunas, NM; and many other loving relatives and friends.  Johnny will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.

A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Road NW, Albuquerque, NM.  Committal Services for Johnny and Lucille Montoya will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery where they will be together forever.
