Joshua Kanawite

Joshua Joseph Van Kanawite, age 28, beloved son and brother, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 in Georgia.  He was born in Albuquerque, NM, resided in Rio Rancho, NM; and was currently residing in Georgia, where he was serving his country in the United States Army. Joshua enjoyed playing video games, drawing and tattooing.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Thomas J. and Lillie Kanawite.

Joshua is survived by his loving parents, Orlando J. Kanawite, Sr., and wife  Evangeline; his mother, Freida Mae Tully; his sister, Ellisen S. Law and husband Brendan; his brother, Orlando J. Kanawite, Jr.; nephew, Charles Law; and many other relatives and friends.  Joshua will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.

Visitations will be Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services ~ Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St., NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114, where Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will take place on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.  Casket Bearers will be Gabriel J. Kanawite, Sr., Gabriel J. Kanawite, Jr., Orlando J. Kanawite, Sr., Orlando J. Kanawite, Jr., Fernando J. Kanawite, Javis J. Kanawite, Troy Watson, Felipe Toledo, and Jimmy Piefer.
