Joy Herring

Joy Herring passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at her home in Rio Rancho, NM, with her loved ones by her side.  She was 91 years old.  She was born in Ralls, Texas, on September 21, 1932, to John and Lena Tarleton.  She was married on September 24, 1948, to Odell Herring in Ralls.  They ran Furniture Land, a furniture store in Hobbs, NM, until 1989 when Odell passed away.   She lived in Hobbs until she moved to Rio Rancho, NM, in 2015.  

She is survived by her two daughters, Phyllis Stein and Paula Boggs, her son-in-law Jeff Boggs, and granddaughter Nicole Stein, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She will be buried next to her husband in Ralls Cemetery in Ralls, Texas.
