Kathy L. Rivera 

December 5, 1958 — February 27, 2024 

Kathy Rivera (age 65) beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 while surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Albuquerque, NM, raised in Bernalillo, NM, and was a resident of Algodones, NM, where she worked in the Bernalillo Public Schools District as an Instructional Assistant for 26 years. 

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Abelicio and Julia Moya; baby brother, Edward Moya; sisters, Isabel (Filimon) Gonzales, Nettie Griego, Esther Archibeque; father-in-law, Richard Rivera; and mother-in-law, Lillian Rivera. 

 Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Donald Rivera; son, Daniel Rivera; daughter, Jennifer Manning; son-in-law, Joshua Manning; and precious grandson, Jonah Manning. She is also survived by her siblings, Lena (Jerry) Archibeque, Gloria (Roger) Dominguez, Tony (Cecilia) Moya, Johnny Archibeque (brother-in-law), Laura Moya (John Espinoza), Sandra (Henry) Lucero; and many loving nieces and nephews. Kathy was known, and will always be remembered, for her warm smile, caring heart, and amazing baked goods. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched.
