Larry Anthony Verdugo, 47, passed away at home on October 6, 2021 after a brief illness. Larry was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on February 17, 1974. He graduated from Rio Grande High School and attended the University of New Mexico. Larry’s greatest passion was art. After honing his craft in graffiti, he matured into a creative painter and tattoo artist. He painted murals as a hobby, and was often called to paint a mural for local businesses.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
Larry is survived by his mother Lucille Duncan, Las Cruces, New Mexico, brothers Mark and Michael Verdugo, nephews Ceasar and Seth Verdugo, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Larry is also survived by Monte Sandoval and Christian Sanchez, two very special people in his life. Other survivors include several uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Larry is preceded in death by his father, Tommy R. Verdugo, paternal grandparents Rafael and Lolita Verdugo, maternal grandparents Romeo and Betty Duran, and his uncle and Godfather Herman Duran.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Larry’s unique life will be scheduled at a later date.
