Leo R Casaus

July 6, 1939 — May 29, 2024

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Leo R. Casaus on May 29th, 2024 from complications following open heart surgery.
Leo was born July 6th, 1939 in Jemez Springs, New Mexico to Alfredo and Rosa Casaus. He leaves 3 sons in the San Francisco Bay area. Jesse, Christopher, and Patrick, brothers Lorenzo and Carmen Casaus, Joe Casaus, sisters Pina and Mel Casaus- Johnson, Lupe Ruiz, and Debbie Ravago, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved dearly.
After graduating from Valley High School in 1958, He moved to the Bay Area in California where he started a career in welding and excelled in the trade to become one of the best welders in the Bay Area along with his uncles and brothers. He moved to Dayton Valley, NV where he lived and worked 8 more years. With his health deteriorating more and more. He came home to New Mexico in 2020.
Leo's passion was golf. He played many courses in the Bay Area, Reno, and many here in Albuquerque.
He will be truly missed by his family and friends.
