Leon Lucero
October 27, 1969 — June 8, 2017
Leon Alex Lucero, age 47, beloved son, brother, uncle, boyfriend, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, June 8, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of Placitas, NM. Leon enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes, barbecuing and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Augustin and Celsa Lucero; his maternal grandparents, Ricardo and Gregorita Gutierrez; his brother, Edward "Gino" Lucero; Uncle Felix Gutierrez; and cousin, Santana Valdez.
Leon is survived by his loving parents, Alex and Logie Lucero; and his sister, Roxie Lucero. Also surviving are his niece, Cassandra Crespin and husband Anthony; great-nephew and niece, Anthony Orlando and Layla Ann Crespin; his girlfriend, CeCe Torres; Godparents, Luciano and Carmen Valdez; special friends, Dean and Yolanda Jaramillo; and numerous loving relatives and friends. Leon will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.
A Rosary will be recited Friday, June 16, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at San Antonio Mission in Placitas, NM, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow at the Placitas Catholic Cemetery.
