Louis H. Sandoval, age 84, passed away peacefully on September 20th, 2024. He was born February 13th, 1940 to Manuel and Benita Sandoval. Louis was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother to seven siblings. He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Margaret Sandoval, and his four children, Cathy Romero, Christine Gallegos, Debbie Chavez, and Manuel Sandoval, eleven grandchildren, Anita, Delia, Rick, Roslynn, Anselmo, Manuel Jr., Heather, Justin, Santiago, Ronnie, and Elysia, and 20 great grandchildren, Angelica, Liliana, Marshall, Alonzo, Damian, Joaquin, Adriana, Andre, Jandro, Ramon, Elizah, Madison, Ally, Noah, Alysse, Rylie, Mia, Elijah, Josiah, and Abigail.
Louis dedicated his career to the US Forest Service, where he nurtured a deep love for the outdoors and the natural world. The mountains were his sanctuary, where he felt most at peace, hiking, exploring, and breathing in the fresh air. His passion for nature was not just a career - it was a way of life that he shared with his family and everyone who knew him.
Louis will be remembered for his kindness, wit, and sense of humor. He had a gift for making people smile and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. His quiet strength and deep connection to the earth leave behind a legacy of love and generosity.
