Lucia Vigil

Lucia B. Vigil, age 84, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, was embraced by the Lord and taken to Eternal Life, Monday, March 21, 2016.   She was born in Albuquerque, NM and was a resident of Algodones, NM.  Lucia and her husband Alejandro were the founders and operators of Jungle's Grocery in Algodones, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sigfredo and Merenciana Baldonado; her husband, Alejandro Vigil; two sons, Paul and Charlie
Vigil.

Lucia is survived by her loving children, Rudy C. Vigil, Viola Ready, Joan Buenaventa, and Peter Vigil; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Connie Bartlett, and Leoniva Sandoval.  Luica will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 301 Camino Del Pueblo, Bernalillo.  Interment to follow at Algodones Cemetery.  Lucia's grandsons will have the honor to serve as Casket Bearers.
