Macedonio (Max) Francisco Tobias Perez

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our dearly loved Macedonio Francisco Tobias Perez (AKA Max Perez). Max departed this world peacefully on January 22, 2024, at age 74, surrounded by his loved ones in his hometown of Bernalillo NM. Max was born to Tobias Perez and Antonia Leyba on August 7, 1949 in Bernalillo New Mexico. Max attended Bernalillo High School where he met and married his high school sweetheart Pauline J. Montoya whom predeceased him. Max then married twice more, raising and caring for numerous children and grandchildren

 Max was a diesel mechanic most of his life, his work ethic and perseverance throughout his career allowed him to accomplish many things. He co-owned Albuquerque Truck Equipment where he ran the shop and was a very skilled diesel mechanic. He hired and trained many family members and  friends and was always willing to pass his knowledge to anyone who asked. Max enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his father Tobias, brother Bobby Bear and family. Max is known by his family and friends as a loving, caring, and very giving man, he enjoyed helping others whenever he had the chance.

 Max leaves behind his three children Max S. Perez, Marie K. Perez, and Andrew P. Perez. He also leaves behind a child he raised as his own, Christina Perez Juarez. 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sisters Katie (Jim) Borrego, Lucy (Bernardo) Aragon, Viola (Dudley) Vines, brother Bobby Perez. Many nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews and his dog Traviesa. Max is predeceased by his wife Pauline J. Montoya, Father Tobias Perez, Mother Antonia Leyba, Brother Toby Leyba and  grandson Christian Perez.

 Max was known as a serious individual with sense of humor and a soft side. He loved his family and friends with all he was. Max was a kind and thoughtful individual and will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched.
