Manuel Torres

Manuel M. Torres, age 91,  beloved father, grandfather, and brother, was embraced by the Lord Sunday, October 8, 2017 and taken to Eternal Life. He was born in Pena Blanca, NM and was a resident of Albuquerque. Manuel served our country in the United States Army during World War II.   Manuel was co-owner and operator of Ortiz and Torres Dry Wall and T & O Installation for over 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Vigil and step-father, Antonio; his wife Evelyn Torres in June 2017; three sons, Edward M., Manuel J., and Steven M. Torres; siblings, Rose Marie Parker, Josephine Zamora, and Edward Torres.

Manuel is survived by his loving children, Margaret A. Sanchez and husband Alex, Stella M. Archibeque and husband Marvin, Michael A. Torres; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his brother Tony Vigil and wife Elsie; and many other loving relatives and friends.  Manuel will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.
Visitation will be Monday, October 16, 2017 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd., NW in Albuquerque, where a Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m.  Final Viewing will be Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery 2:15 p.m.  Honored to serve as Casket Bearers are Alex Sanchez Jr., Larry Torres, Marvin T. Archibeque, Xavier Muller, Ronnie Gonzales, and Kevin LeDoux.
