Marcella Jacquez

Marcella Jacquez, a beloved matriarch and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on October 10 2024, at the age of 83. Born on November 29, 1940, in Arroyo De Agua, New Mexico, Marcella's life was a testament to resilience, love, and dedication to family.

Marcella was a nurturing mother to her six children: Albert Jacquez (Ellen) ; Marino Jacquez (Francis); Dennis Jacquez (Annie); Antonia Raegan (Tony); Arsenio Jacquez (Isabel); Elaine Jacquez; and sister Ermeny Toohey. Her love extended to her nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren,  each of whom brought immense joy to her life.

An avid lover of puzzles, embroidery, sewing, and crafts, Marcella also found great pleasure in working on her garden and flowers. These creative outlets not only enriched her life but also provided warmth and beauty to those around her, showcasing her nurturing spirit.

Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, Horacio and Tonita Chacon; her devoted spouse of 61 years, Marino Jacquez; her brother, David Chacon; and her grandson, Dale Raegan. Their memories will continue to be honored and cherished by those she leaves behind.

The legacy of Marcella Jacquez will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, a legacy rooted in love, creativity, and the unbreakable bonds formed through years of shared experiences. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
