Margarito Paiz

Margarito “Mage” Jose Paiz, age 61, beloved father, companion, and brother, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, December 1, 2018. He was born in Santa Fe, NM on June 16, 1957, and was a resident of Pena Blanca, NM.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margarito and Theresa Paiz; brother, Almer Paiz; and by his niece, Amanda Paiz.  Margarito is survived by his loving daughter, Crusita Paiz; his best friend and companion, Theresa Cordova; sons, James Cordova and Antonio Dominguez; his sisters, Dolores Garcia and husband Tony, Flora Quintana and husband Tony, Marcella Paiz; brother David Paiz and wife Cleo; sister-in-law, Judy; Redolfo and Betty Dominguez, who he loved and considered as his in-laws.  Also surviving are four nephews, Marty, Josh, Dominic Quintana, and Isaac Torres who were very close to their Uncle Mage; and many other loving relatives and friends.  Margarito will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to those who have been supportive during this difficult time; especially to Dominic for being so kind to provide transportation, and has been an anchor for Crusita and her mother with his calming influence and patience.

A Rosary will be recited Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pena Blanca, NM, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m.   Inurnment will follow at the Pena Blanca Cemetery.  Urn Bearers will be Antonio Dominguez and Martin Quintana.  Honorary Urn Bearers will be James Cordova, Benny Sandoval, Josh Quintana, and Dominic Quintana.
