"Della" Maria Margarita Adelita Gallegos

Della was born on February 22, 1939  in Taos NM. 

Della passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. Della is preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and George Sanchez and her sister, Lucy. She is also reunited with her beloved son, Leonard Garcia. 

 Della is survived by her loving husband, Leo Gallegos, her children, Phillip, Gabriel , Christine, Larz , Stepchildren Leonard, Paul and wife Michelle, and Marie and husband Joe. Della also leaves behind her grandchildren Zachary, Olivia, Katie, Amy, Marisol, Jude, Leah, and Santana, 5 great grandchildren, her 2 brothers, Arthur and Floyd Sanchez and many loving nieces and nephews. 

 Della enjoyed spending time with family and traveling. She loved to listen and dance to New Mexico music and was very proud of her culture. Della had a green thumb and her plants thrived. She also had an eye for detail and was talented at home decor. She loved to celebrate each season. Her playful, loving nature will be missed. Till we meet again "Up North."
