Mary Alice Kuaana Ayze, age 69, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully at her home, Saturday, October 3, 2015, while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Wailuku, HI on May 30, 1946 and was a resident of Tijeras, NM. Mary Alice enjoyed family gatherings, fast cars, and life itself.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Luka Mata. Mary Alice is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Joseph Ayze; her wonderful son, Kainoa Ayze; four precious granddaughters, Kehaulani, Nevaeh, Alyssa, and Ava Ayze; two brothers, George and Richard Mata; and many other loving relatives and friends. Mary Alice will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose hearts she touched.
Visitations will be Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St., NW, Albuquerque, where Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., with Senior Pastor Richard Mansfield Officiating. Family and friends will meet at Daniels- Alameda Mortuary on Monday, October 12, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. to proceed to Santa Fe National Cemetery for Committal Services which will be conducted at 9:45 a.m. Casket Bearers will be George Mata, Kainoa Ayze, Kehaulani Ayze, Jeanette Gall, Anthony Romero, and Arnold Silva.
