Michael Kanuho, son of the late Edmund and Carmelita Kanuho, brother to Elaine Dyea, was a devoted and protective Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Cousin, Uncle, Brother and Friend. Raised in the village of Paguate and enlisted in the Marine Corps after high school.. He fought in the Vietnam War and came home to attend college. He met Matilda (Mat) who later became his wife. They both worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and retired together. Their lives consisted of constant fun, laughter and family. Golf, Casino hopping and traveling the world were their favorite pastimes. A strong believer in his native traditions at his village of Paguate and Poh-woh-geh-oween-geh (San Ildefonso Pueblo). Mike is survived by his wife, Mat Kanuho, daughter Mona Perea, grandkids Marley, Zion, Kyrie and husband Dylon, and Great grandson Adonis. Son Skate Sanchez and grandkids Santana and Wesley. Nephews Michael Dyea, PJ Dyea and wife Hope along with their sons-Julian, Patrick, Julius and Adrian, Wes and Lee Fernando. He has friends/family all over the nation and world. Mike was one of a kind and we will keep him alive in our hearts. Semper Fi, Teh Teh. We Love you Always and Forever
