Michael Montano

Michael Montaño was called by his Friend, Jesus, to His Father’s house on September 6, 2018.  Michael knew his real home was Heaven but lived life to the fullest while he was here on earth.  Those who knew Michael know that he never did anything half-way, he did things to perfection.  He loved his family with all his heart, he was a master carpenter, made the best chicharrones in NM, and treasured the Word of God.  He loved taking his grandchildren fishing, loved gardening, hunting and just “hanging out” with friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Alice Montaño; his brother, Victor and his daughter, Monique Montaño. He is survived by his daughters, Angelina Montaño and partner Bevans Burke, and Jeannine Saavedra; his father, Leo Montaño; brother, Leonard Montaño and wife Rosemarie; sister, Theresa Lucero and husband, LeeRoy; sister, Emily Montaño and fiancée George Aragon; his grandchildren, Orlando Saavedra, Gia and Elijah Acoya; many loving nieces and nephews; and other numerous relatives and friends.  Michael will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.

A Rosary will be recited Friday, September 14, 2018  at 9:00 am at Daniels Family Funeral Chapel,  9420 Fourth St., NW, Albuquerque, where, Funeral Services will be presided by life-long friend and spiritual warrior Pastor Ed from New Hope Ministries, Denver, CO.   Graveside Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Urn Bearer will be Monica Lucero. Honorary Urn Bearers will be Andrew Victor Montaño, David Lucero, Ishmael Lucero, Adrian Montaño, Victor Montaño, Jr., Annmarie Leyba and Elisha Sandoval.
