Molly Montoya

Molly (Amalia) R. Montoya, age 91, born in San Pedro (Espanola), NM and a resident of Bernalillo, went home to be with our Lord on October 3, 2016.  Molly was an amazing person who enjoyed taking care of her family, church, and occasionally playing bingo.  She was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, nina, sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend to many who loved her.  She worked for Los Alamos Labs, Coca-Cola, NeHi bottling Co., and Blakes Lotaburger most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Don S. Montoya; her parents, Eugenio Roybal and Manuelita Quintana; her sister, Consuelo; brothers, Vincent and Alex Roybal; granddaughter, Christine Montoya; and many son-in-laws.

Molly is survived by nine children, Cecilia Zamora, Albert Montoya, Lucille Montoya (Carlos), Annette Chavez, Donna Salazar, Rebecca Martinez (Jose), Cynthia Lopez, Amy Ruiz and Roslynn Montoya; eleven grandchildren, Renee, Marvin, Star, Janeen, Pete, Angela, Amber,Jolene, Alexander, Peter, Angela, Ericka, Brett, Jack Jr., Lucinda, Rachel, and Adam; eleven great-grandchildren, Christian, Jayden, Jazmyn, Noah, Baby Chavez's, Christopher, Mia, Grace Amalia, Alana, and Alicia; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

A Rosary will be recited Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. at  Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 4th St., NW, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
