Nadine L. Henning, born on February 8, 1965, passed away on January 15, 2025, at the age of 59 in Albuquerque NM.
Nadine was a proud graduate of the New Mexico School for the Deaf (NMSD), where she began her education at just 18 months old and completed her studies in 1984. During her time at NMSD, she excelled both academically and athletically, participating in volleyball and basketball throughout her high school years. She was also actively involved in student body government and Close Up activities. Nadine furthered her education at Gallaudet University, attending for three years.
Her professional journey led her to a fulfilling career as a teacher aide at NMSD, where she dedicated 25 years to supporting and inspiring students. Nadine also served as president of the New Mexico School for the Deaf Alumni Association (NMSDAA) from 2000 to 2002. After retiring from NMSD, she embraced her love of travel, exploring destinations across the United States. Nadine had a passion for crafts and photography, capturing moments that brought joy to her life.
She was proceeded by her husband, Steve Henning; her parents, Richard and Candeleria Garcia; and siblings Richarda Montez, Patrick Garcia, Lucy, and Gloria G. Nadine is survived by her siblings Danny Garcia (Ruby) and Steve Garcia (Diane),Clarence Pino ( Liz) as well as numerous nieces and nephews along with many loved ones who will cherish her memory.
Nadine's life was marked by dedication to education, creativity, and a deep love for those around her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched through her work and passions. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
