Norma Reid

Norma L. Reid, age 84, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully Monday, August 20, 2018, while surround by her loving family. She was born in Forward Township, PA, and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM.  Norma was an active member of Sacred Heart Parish and Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Clovis, NM for 40 years.  She was an active member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Albuquerque for over 18 years; and a member and Associate of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston.  Norma loved and served the Lord in as many ways as she could during her devoted life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Viola Baxter; her husband, John Reid; and siblings, Charles Baxter and Maggie Dora. Norma is survived by her loving children, Michael Reid of Clovis, NM, Bruce Reid and wife Sarah of Hobbs, NM, Paul Reid and wife Terese of Traverse City, MI, Patrick Reid and wife Anita of Moscow Mills, MO, Ray Reid and wife Becky of Arlington, TX, Martha Reid of Albuquerque, and Bonnie Reid and Jim Hall also of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.  Norma will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched.

A Rosary will be recited Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.  Casket Bearers will be Michael, Patrick, Ray, Bruce, Matthew, and John Reid.
